What it Claims to Do:
Registry
Toolkit makes many of the obvious claims that you will
see on most registry repair websites. It will scan the registry,
removing bad data and fixing things where necessary to give
you a faster computer with fewer problems. It also has some
tools that will help you to improve your computing experience
as well. These include…
o - A tool to help you regulate your startup items
o - A tool to remove unwanted IE plug-ins (faster internet)
o - Backups of any changes made by the program
o - Repair for Windows Rebooting Problems
What it Actually Does:
Registry
Toolkit was able to successfully recognize and automatically
repair many of the registry problems that we experienced
on our test computer. The user interface was extremely
easy to follow and it walked us through every step of
the process.
Of note is the fact that we were also able to use the
additional tools in the toolkit to improve our Internet
surfing. I had no idea that we had so many plug-ins attached
to our browser, many of which were slowing us down to
a crawl. Our reboot and startup time are also improved.
Conclusion:
We have to say that this is one tool that
you should certainly have on your computer and you should
use it regularly. Once you are clean and running well,
make sure that you run it again on a regular basis in
order to keep away new problems that will hurt your computer's
performance.
Registry
Toolkit also comes bundled with a few other great
items. Make sure that you familiarize yourself with these
items and use them regularly as well. The combination
of the two is a great way to enjoy using your computer
